O multimillion-dollar mogul Elon Musk – who owns companies like SpaceX, Tesla and Neuralink – came to the public to deny the rumors that SpaceX is developing an artificial intelligence mobile phone.
The news began by being advanced by The Wall Street Journal, who stated that the company had already shared with some investors the “mobile prototype” before the initial public offer that took place in june.
According to the information shared by the American publication, the device in question was “fineer than an iPhone”, it would be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and would have its own Artificial Intelligence-based operating system.
In response to a comment on social network X where this rumor was shared, Musk denied the information shared by The Wall Street Journal and he said that these were “completely false”.
It is good to remember that this is not the first time that rumors have arisen about the possibility of SpaceX launching its own mobile phone, since in the beginning of 2026 this same possibility was raised.
Although he did not claim that the development of a mobile phone was in SpaceX's plans, Musk noted at the time that such a project was not “totally out of the question” and that “at some point” i could get the company's attention.
