O FC Porto announced, in the form of a (short) communiqué issued through official platforms early this Sunday afternoon, that the Polish international Oskar Pietuszewski “was diagnosed with a small muscle injury to the left thigh”, after being the target of “complementary examinations”.
The player of only 18 years old, remember, was scheduled by Francesco Farioli to act as the holder, in the meeting of the ninth day of the I League, before Gil Vicente, but presented physical complaints during the warm-up period, so he was eventually removed from the playing chip and replaced in the eleven by Borja Sainz.
The Italian coach presented the blue and white squad with a break, this Sunday, but the advance was called to attend the Training and Sports Training Center Jorge Costa, in the Olival, where it was observed by the clinical department, which confirmed that the bad luck even returned to 'beat him at the door'.
Despite this setback, the truth is that the national champions in title would even come out of Minho with one more victory (the ninth after so many other rounds), with a goal, precisely by Borja Sainz, at 63 minutes, following an incomplete cut by the opposing defense.
The dragons remained, in this way, in the isolated leadership of the Portuguese championship, with 27 points, eight more than the second ranked, Benfica, which, however, will not enter the scene, on Monday, at 18:45 (hour of Continental Portugal), in the Stadium of São Miguel, where will have the Santa Clara.
