Fstejos and horns for the re-election of Lula da Silva as president of Brazil have today scored the last moments of another day of demonstration in Praça D. João I, in Porto.

At the camp site, which started on October 10, the party was held as soon as victory was announced.

Many celebrated, hugged and sang screams for Lula, and several people invited others to “make L” with their hand.

Several cars passed the place to honk, celebrated by protesters in the square, which remains quiet.

By 1:00 a.m., and with no tents set up, including the popular canteen that worked there for several hours, there were only a few dozen people on site who talked.

There was no visible presence of police forces.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was re-elected today in the second round of Brazil's presidential elections, with 51.75% of the votes, for the fourth term as head of state, and made history as the first candidate to win after losing in the first round.

Lula da Silva won 63,388,523 votes against 59,099. 143 of Flávio Bolsonaro, when 98.76% of the voting sections are counted.

The left-wing leader of the Workers' Party (PT) and former trade unionist, is reelected at the age of 80, having managed to reverse the disadvantage of the first round of more than two million votes.

The PSP dispersed on Sunday morning, with batonada and with the use of dogs, demonstrations for the right to housing in Lisbon and Porto, after more than two hours of tension and orders for people to leave and tents to be removed.

The demonstrators did not follow orders, invoking the constitutional right to the demonstration.

According to the PSP, there were 33 injured and 31 detained for disobedience. In a statement, camp organizations reported dozens of wounded.

The protesters demand the reversal of the new rental law, the end of demolitions and evictions without an alternative housing, a stop to the purchase of housing by real estate funds, the increase in public housing, the recovery of vacant buildings for housing purposes and ceilings “truely accessible” to income.

The leftist parties criticized the police intervention, asking for clarification from the Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, and the intervention of the President of the Republic, António José Seguro. The PSD, a government party, and the Aquida defended police action.
