Place at risk? Rui Borges leaves assurance about the future in Sporting

Adespite one more loss and being nine points away from FC Porto leader, Rui Borges does not lose hope in the title fight, believing that Sporting can still turn around. In a press conference, after the breakout before the Scholar of Viseu, on Sunday night, the lion coach fled to questions about the future and felt the place at risk, pointing to... the training of Monday. 

“ I'm focused on tomorrow's practice [Monday] because I have a game on Tuesday. Dissatisfaction is natural, I understand it, but I deal well with it ", started by saying Rui Borges, repeating the guarantee shortly after.

“ I'm training tomorrow at 11:30 because there's a game on Tuesday. And I always do. That's why I got to Sporting ", vincou. 

Asked whether he still feels like a solution in Sporting, Rui Borges again stressed that he is focused on working.  

“ That's what brought me to Sporting. That's what I focus on, always working on. There will be good times, less good. It is part of everyone's life ", highlighted. 

“The game was not very successful. It wasn't power failure. It was because of lack of completion capacity, that's all. Unfortunately, we're at nine points, we didn't want to be. We haven't been able to come out victorious in some games. A team like Sporting is obviously not pleased to be nine points away from the championship leader,” he said. 

Rui Borges admitted, however, that the disadvantage situation left the Sporting team uneasy and gave the Academic credit for taking advantage of the situations he had. 

“Uncomfortableness above all else. We got into the game where the academic came to defend and then went out in the counterattack. We knew it was dangerous on long balls to be vertical. Sporting's coach also refused that the players underestimated Viseu's team, stating that the uncompromisingness had a very large weight in the outcome of the match. 

“ Clearly not. That was not the case today. Some natural uneasiness, understandable. What I can do is try to get through the peace of mind, whether daily or in training. That's what we're trying to do. With the development of the game, goals that we were not expecting, less positive results in Alvalade, it was natural that the uncompromisingness would appear and would not let us make the best decisions”, Rui Borges said.
