New Chinese brand bet on Europe and has these SUVs on the way

Cerca 1,500 SUV Leps have recently been sent to Europe, where the Chinese brand created last year seeks to implement an international strategy.

In a statement, it informs that close to 1,500 units of L8 PHE V – a crossover hybrid SUV plug-in – were recently embarked in Wuhu (China).

They have six European countries as their destination: Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Italy, Romania and Spain – that will be the entrance door of the model to the Iberian Peninsula. It should be noted that the launch of the brand in Europe took place in April at Milan Design Week, where it received encouraging feedback.

Lepas is attentive to the potential of the European market for new energy vehicles, seeing that it is demonstrating a “strong growth”, where these types of options are increasingly sought in the context of the European Union’s climate and electrical transition targets.

Lepas L8 is based on Lepas LEX platform, promising 107 km of electric autonomy and 1,300 km in total. The super-hybrid system includes a 1.5 litre turbocharged combustion engine powered by gasoline, electric motor and a 18.4 kWh battery.

It incorporates voice control with assistance of artificial intelligence, plenty of space inside the fruit of its 2,800 mm distance between axes (it is the longest in this particular in its segment, claims Lepas). The rims are 19 inches in Essence and 20 inches in Elevate – which also includes amenities such as laminated front windows, active cancelling of engine noise, electrically adjustable seats, heated, ventilated and with massage function, among others. It is also associated with a Sony Premium sound system of eight speakers.

The driver has several serial assists such as cruise control, smart speed limit, emergency range maintenance, forward distance monitoring and emergency self-braking. At the Elevate equipment level, it will be possible to include a 540o camera system, advanced and remote parking assistance.
