A Monterey Car Week in California (USA) served as the stage for the launch of the new Ferrari CZ26 this friday (14 august).
It's a one-time model is based on SF90 Stradale and it's electrified. This is a work of the Special Projects program, designed by Ferrari Design Studio for a customer in the USA.
It is described as “an extremely personal view of the concept of super-sporting berlinet”, applying “a technological design language with an avant-garde view”.
A biturbo motor V8 4.0 litres debits 780 hp of power and 804 No torque is accompanied by three 220 hp electric motors powered by a 7.9 kWh battery – which allows a exclusive electric autonomy up to 25 km. The set provides 1,000 cv. The car, equipped with double clutch gearbox and eight ratios, is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, reaching 328 km/h.

It has a silhouette of two boxes, with a central mass that resembles a capsule and arches of the muscular wheels. The front part displays a full width grid with the lights, air intakes for brakes, sensors and other integrated components.
Behind is a diffuser with a particularly horizontal design, designed to enhance the width of the vehicle, its stability and pose, as well as suspended optical groups. This dedicated diffuser, as well as the new larger upper spoiler, are designed for greater descending force. The engine cap was another of the redesigned elements, with openings for the thermal management of the compartment. The exhaust tubes are titanium, reinforcing the high performance character of the CZ26.
The construction applied carbon fiber, laterally there are cooling air intakes and jump into view the rims specifically designed for this unique Ferrari. They are painted in high gloss black with a treatment made to obtain a polished effect.
Ferrari has completely redesigned the cooling and front air flow management systems, which included adding dedicated pipelines to improve cooling efficiency and the aerodynamic load generated on the front axle. The lower part of the body and the vortex generation system also have a new design, while the front bumper has air curtains on the outer sections to manage the air flow generated by the wheels.
When it comes to decorating, it's in silver Argento Veloce exclusive, with a liquid effect. Details are gathered in red Rosso Lampante contrasting, applied to certain technical and functional elements, as well as elements in pigmented carbon fiber.

According to Ferrari, the objective was to replicate the concept of the exterior in the passenger compartment. Thus, the CZ26 is marked by custom black technical fabric and inserts with a design developed specifically for this car. The details in Rosso Lampante are repeated and the CZ26 emblem appears embroidered on the backs of the seats – to highlight the identity of the unique model.
A satin carbon fiber is found inside, as well as brilliant carbon fiber with metallic filaments. Door panels and the upper section of the board include elements in the body colour. The roof and the pillars have a black finish that, says the manufacturer, “creates an effect of a cockpit embedded in the body”.
How much is it?
Ferrari didn't disclose the price the client paid for the unique CZ26, nor the identity of it. But there are several SF90s Stradale used that cost more than half a million euros today, so this customized model with unique solutions and concepts should be above that level.
