Jermaine Pennant did not have a quiet Friday, after being attacked by a dog, having to be subjected to 50 stitches on her leg.
The former advance of clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal or Everton ended up having to intervene after a German shepherd dog tried to attack their animal [King].
The leg of the young English international got deep wounds, but Pennant ensures that the scenario could have been much worse if his dog hadn't gone on the scene.
“I stayed on the ground with the dog still clinging to me, with no sign of it dropping until King intervened, because he did not know what was going on. But as soon as he did, he pushed the dog away and saved me from what could have been a terrible situation,” said the former player on social networks.
In declarations to The SunPennant does not deny the fear he felt at that moment, revealing that “it was very scary” and that intervened “after the other dog tried to attack King”.
“All of a sudden, the dog was attacking me. I was on the floor and he bit my leg for at least five seconds. I felt tremendous pressure and King intervened to protect me. He saved my life, but if I was a minor dog, there was no chance,” the former Premier League player confided.
In his career as a footballer, English with double nationality held a total of 433 games, contributing 27 goals scored in all competitions and 41 assists, being a ‘terror’ for opposing defenses.

“ So I was attacked by a German shepherd, tried to protect King [name of Jermaine Pennant's dog], but the dog grabbed my leg. I stood on the floor with the dog still clinging to me, with no sign of it dropping, until King intervened, because he didn't know what was going on. But as soon as he did, he pulled the dog away and saved me from what could have been a terrible situation.
King came out unharmed, with just a little bite on his leg, but he was covered in blood that wasn't mine. At that moment, I forgot the agony I was feeling and my heart sank, but it wasn't King's blood.
My hero keeps protecting me and trying to take care of me. KING, you're a legend, I love you, man's best friend."
