Teresa William on reality shows: “How are you, it’s a disaster”

Teresa Guilherme was recently on The Milk Show, program presented by Flávio Furnished on digital platforms, and ended up publicly giving his opinion on the current state of reality shows in Portugal. 

Asked if she misses performing reality shows, Teresa Guilherme replied:

“ I miss that time. But from the time of reality, when they were reality, it's not now. This as it is, is a disaster, did not take it or die.”

“ I presented reality when people were still closed in the houses, still fulfilled all the rules, there was this crossing – goes inside the house and talks out of the house”, I continue, criticizing the way participants and the content of programs like “Big Brother” or “Secret Story” are currently managed. 

“Actually, competitors are not isolated. It was fun, it's important to me, I've always presented fun shows. It was important that there were moments of fun there ", pointed out.

For the former presenter, who came to be known in Portugal as “the queen of reality shows”, “it is a lie that what happens in a house is the reflection of real life.” “It’s not real life, it’s real life’s novel.”

As for the criticisms she received as a presenter and the fact that there is currently someone who says that she misses seeing her conduct these formats, Teresa Guilherme reacted by explaining: “The most important thing in these programs are competitors, not those who present them.”.

Still, the communicator stressed that the role of the presenter can be fundamental to “create some limits and not addictive the game”.
