Aweather forecasts for the next week refer to “more typical conditions of a summer day”, around 30oC. But until you get to work, you have to enjoy the weekend. And what is planned for this Saturday and Sunday?

Stop this saturday, the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) provides maximums of 24oC in the districts of Évora and Faro (where the minimums are 7oC and 12oC, respectively). Only on the island of Funchal, in the archipelago of Madeira, will temperatures be higher, with 25oC.

In most of the country the sky will be little cloudy, except in the areas of Viana do Castelo and Ponta Delgada, in the Azores, where it will be partially cloudy.

As for the rain, it is “guarded” for the islands, with rain and weak showers for Porto Santo and Ilha Terceira, in the Azores.

Bragança is the district where it will get colder, with thermometers reaching 3oC (and 17oC maximum). In Lisbon, temperatures will fluctuate between 10oC and 22oC and Porto between 8oC and 18oC.

And for Sunday?

On Sunday, thermometers reach 25oC in Évora and Santarém, with the maximum 24oC to be registered in Lisbon, Setúbal, Beja, Faro and Castelo Branco. Also in Funchal the maximum temperatures increase, with thermometers reaching 25oC.

The coldest region, however, passes from Bragança to Guarda, with the latter district recording 6oC of minimum (and 18oC of maximum). Weak rain or drizzle may occur in the district of Viana do Castelo and also in the Azores archipelago.
