Sunder the theme “Conscience”, the festival takes place on the next two weekends, from 17 to 19 and from 24 to 26 July, in the enclosure of De Schorre.

This year's edition explores six emotions – wonder, love, anger, joy, desire and sadness – through scenography, the 16 stages and various immersive experiences spread throughout the room.

“The Tomorrowland has always been about union. Going to a festival is creating links and we can only create connections when there are emotions involved,” said Lusa the spokesperson for the festival, Debby Wilmsen.

Portugal is present with six artists and national projects: Diego Miranda, BIA, ØTTA, Xinobi, Danni Gato and MXGPU, which is one of the biggest Portuguese participations ever.

Diego Miranda reinforces the status of Portuguese artist with the highest history in the festival, adding the tenth performance since the premiere in 2015, while BIIA, ØTTA and the duo MXGPU debut at the event.

According to the organization, the number of Portuguese festival owners and Portuguese-speaking visitors continues to grow.

“It’s a very interesting audience. We have many Brazilians, which is natural because we also organize a festival in Brazil ", said Debby Wilmsen.

The 2026 edition takes place under enhanced prevention measures due to the high temperatures in Belgium.

Following a decision by the authorities, there will be no fireworks show during the first weekend.

“ The security of visitors, teams, artists and local residents is always the main priority”, said the spokesman.

The plan was activated for heat situations, with more shadow zones, nebulization areas and drinking water points distributed throughout the enclosure.

The organisation shall ensure that it continues to monitor the evolution of weather conditions in conjunction with the authorities and emergency services.

The decision arises a year after the fire that, in July 2025, destroyed much of the structure of the main stage a few days before the opening of the festival.

Although the event took place after the construction of an alternative stage, the incident led to the reinforcement of safety plans and surveillance of flammable materials.

The investigation of the causes of the fire continues, being the main hypothesis so far a human failure.

Created in 2005 by the Belgian brothers Manu and Michiel Beers, Tomorrowland became a world reference for electronic music.

After the interruption caused by the pandemic in 2020 and 2021, the festival again expects some 200,000 visitors per weekend from more than 200 countries.

Tickets for this year's edition ran out several months ago.
