O prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, said today that he was working during the last few days, after being questioned by the leader of the Aquista about having been silent while taking place in several cities of the country demonstrations for the right to housing.
André Ventura was the first to question the head of government during the debate on the state budget for next year in Parliament, and the first question he asked was: “Where have you been all this time when the country was struggling with demonstrations in many of its cities, where police were assaulted, offended and the rule of law was threatened, and the country did not know about its Prime Minister?”.
Luís Montenegro replied that he was “working” for the country and has been “all these days, without exception, in contact with ministers and members of the Government and with the services that are protected by members of the Government”.
“There are some to work for is to give interviews, there are some to work for is to answer to everything that is true, which is a lie, which is half true, which is half a lie, there are some who consider that their job is always to be in front of the cameras. And there are diamonds that have the responsibility to execute public policies that solve people’s problems”, he defended, accusing André Ventura of belonging to the first group and putting himself in the second.
