Cinco months after the death of Isabel Veloso, a known creator of brazilian digital content who died following a Hodgkin lymphoma, a premature and unexpected novelty is shocking Brazil.
The widower of Brazilian influencer Lucas Borbas announced that he is engaged.
“ Next to him, I discovered that happiness lives in the details, in the long hugs, in the shared laughs and in the certainty of having found someone to walk with me through life!”, they announced Lucas Borbas and Diulia D. Loregian in a video shared by both on social network Instagram.
Isabel Veloso, 19 years old, has become known to share with Instagram followers her daily journey in cancer treatments. During this period, the young woman always had the support of her husband, Lucas Borbas. The two had one child in common, during a period of remission of the disease, Arthur, currently one and a half years old.
Now, the news that Isabel Veloso's widower is engaged only five months after his wife's death is giving rise to talk in Brazil, motivating a wave of criticism on social networks.
Faced with indignation, the family of the Brazilian influencer has also reacted. In statements to Revista Quem, Joelson Veloso stated that “each person faces mourning in his own way”. “It is not for me to judge anyone’s choices,” he added.
“ As Isabel's father, my priority remains to honor my daughter's memory and to care for the love she left in our lives. I don't want to feed trials, conflicts or polemics. The pain of a daughter's loss is something I will take forever, but I choose to follow with respect for everyone involved. I ask only that people also respect Isabel's memory, my mourning and, above all, the well-being of my grandson, who deserves to grow up surrounded by love and not conflicts ", cited the Brazilian publication.
It should be noted that Lucas Borbas and his current companion, Diulia D. Loregian, met when Elizabeth was still alive. Diulia, who is a speech therapist, met the couple when both children were admitted to intensive care during the first days of life. The relationship with Luke, however, was only recently assumed.
