YEAH in the midst of the full crisis of results Manchester United faces this weekend the Bournemouth. Red devils have been through their worst series of results since 2015, adding seven consecutive meetings without winning.
On Sunday there is the return to Premier Legue, after defeat in mid-week in Italy against Como. At the press conference forecasting this game, Michael Carrick began the conversation with journalists with an exciting speech, at a time when he is increasingly under pressure.
The last few days were still marked by strong words by Lisandro Martínez and team captain Bruno Fernandes, who made their frustrations public. On the latter, Carrick did not guarantee the maintenance of the clamp in the Portuguese medium, after his explosive statements in the post-game of defeat with Como.
“ The hand team is divided, no, it's not divided. We just need to go back to doing what we do best and that’s what we’re going to do”, started by saying the English coach, who was not the most assertive when asked about whether he’s going to take the clamp off Portuguese.
“ Yes, the most important thing for me is the team, above all, the squad, it's the dynamics in the squad and, once again, it's the football club. I always do what's best for the club. I'm just saying that whatever the situation, I'll always do what's best for the club ", Carrick said.
Asked about a conversation with Bruno Fernandes in recent days, the red devils helmsman did not confirm the subject, but took the opportunity to leave a word to the medium, who saw his house being robbed in the last few days.
“ Yeah, I mean, it's a terrible situation to hear and to live. We are obviously making every effort to support Bruno and his family. Fortunately, they were not directly affected, despite being a terrible situation. I am in no way minimizing the gravity of what happened, but we are doing everything to support them”, he stressed.
Carrick also took the opportunity to stress that the responsibility for this crisis of results is entirely his responsibility.
"Do you defeat Wednesday? Yeah, it hurts like hell, but it doesn't stop me. There's a big difference. This pain serves as pure motivation and inspiration, if anything, to want more, to wait longer, to work for more and to move in this different direction. Sometimes it seems that the path is still long, but it doesn't take much to turn the situation around and we're more than capable of doing so, I believe fully. And we're gonna make it. We are going to win football games; we have a very difficult game on Sunday, against a very good team, and I am not suggesting that suddenly it becomes an easy game, because it is not. We need to respect the game, we need to respect what is necessary to win ", finished.
