Centenas of protesters are already focusing on Lisbon, in response to the protest called for today by the Camp, to demand decent housing for all people.

At a time when police have already cut traffic – for half an hour the protesters have been accumulating separately on the two sides of Avenida da Liberdade – an open box truck, packed with music, is standing ready to head the protest, which is getting thicker.

“House is a right, houses are to live” is the phrase inscribed on a poster that summarizes the claims that have led to the streets thousands of people.

A young man holds a big card where he warns the Prime Minister: “Montenegro, pay attention, you will listen to the people until your resignation.”

Among the protesters are people of all ages.

Helena Roseta, architect and author of the Housing Bases Law, talks to a group about the songs they will sing.

“The people went out on the street”, the former MP and former candidate to the House of Lisbon rejoices, receiving thanks for the statements of support she has made to the Camps.

These demonstrations for better living conditions and dignified housing began in Porto, on the 10th, with dozens of tents set up in Praça D. João I.

In the early hours of the 15th a police charge in that square caused nearly 40 wounded and forced the dismantling of the Camp.

Already in Lisbon the Campadida settled in Praça D. Pedro IV after the demonstration organized by CGTP on the 17th and then remained until the police intervention early last Tuesday, in which the police dismantled tents, detained 55 people and seized assets of activists.

On Friday, the Camp of Lisbon decided, in a popular assembly, to reassemble tents today, after the demonstration, which will end in Rossio.
