“With the end of summer, the way we dress is bound to change. It is time to save some of the pieces that marked the hot days, recover others that were forgotten and make room for different textures, colors and silhouettes that herald autumn.
More than a radical change, this is a transition made of small gestures. After all, there are still sunny days and mild temperatures ahead. The key is to adapt, overlap and choose versatile pieces that keep pace with the new station.
1. Start by doing a little ‘cleaning’ in the closet
Before bringing autumn to wardrobe, it is worth organizing what remains and what can be kept. Linen, light tunics, swimsuits and some sandals may begin to leave the scene after being properly washed and packed.

You don't have to keep everything. Light dresses, shirts and tops can continue to be worn during the first weeks of autumn, especially when combined with warmer pieces.
2. Slowly change the color palette
The vibrant shades of summer naturally give way to a more engaging palette. Earthy shades like brown, camel or beige, dry green, dark blue, bordeaux or eggplant begin to gain space, while the pearl continues to bring light to the looks.
The transition does not have to mean abandoning the use of color. An animal print wallet, a green coat or a red accessory may be enough to maintain some of the summer's energy.

3. Bet on the layers
It's probably the most useful rule for this time of year. Temperatures can change throughout the day and so the parts that allow you to wear and undress easily become essential.
A light blazer on a t-shirt, a thin cardigan with a summer dress or an open shirt on a top are simple combinations that prolong the life of the styrofoam pieces and help to face the freshest mornings.
4. Recover the Autumn Classics
With the change of season also comes the time to return to some pieces that define the fall wardrobe. A trench coat, a structured blazer, a fine knit sweater or more structured cut pants are investments that cross multiple stations and allow you to create different combinations.
It is also these pieces that help to transform, almost effortlessly, a summer look into a more suitable proposal for autumn days.
5. Make the transition in footwear
Sandals do not need to disappear overnight, but they begin to share space with loafers, moccasins, mules and boots.
The same goes for suitcases. The raffia and more relaxed materials gradually give way to leather, suede and more structured shapes – a small change that can immediately transform a look.
6. Lead the accessories
Also in accessories you feel the change of season. Straw hats, raffia bags and more veranil inspiration pieces begin to be replaced by belts, structured bags, scarves and simpler line jewelry.
It is one of the easiest ways to upgrade the wardrobe without having to completely renew it.
7. Choose five pieces to mark the change
If the idea is to simplify, there are five pieces that can make all the difference in this passage for autumn: a light blazer, a fine-knit cardigan, structured cut pants, a trench coat and a suede bag.
Together, they function as a versatile base for the first days of the new season and can be combined with many of the pieces that are already part of the wardrobe.
Saying goodbye to summer doesn't mean abandoning everything that characterizes it. It just means changing the rhythm. Between light fabrics and meshes, sandals and boots, bright colors and deeper shades, the wardrobe follows the arrival of autumn without hurry, but with space for a new season to begin.”
