Vides circulating in the TikTok show convocations of concentrations in malls, with calls for theft. The Public Security Police (PSP) are following the situation.
The news was advanced by CNN Portugal, which realizes that a group in WhatsApp with more than 500 users will be associated with this mobilization.
O News to Minutes contacted the National Directorate of PSP, which explained that “follows information on initiatives released on social networks that call for mergers at different locations in the national territory”.
The authorities also noted that “before this type of information, the PSP assesses the elements available, taking into account the nature of the convenings, referenced sites and possible risks to the safety of persons and property“.
Group with more than 500 people prepares mass assault today in Lisbon. While luxury shops in France serve as a backdrop for looting in the name of causes that are increasingly difficult to explain, in Lisbon someone decided that Colombo Shopping Centre is the ideal stage for a Portuguese ‘rebellion’. The plan, released in a WhatsApp group with more than 500 members and dozens of videos on TikTok, has simple instructions — wearing black only, wearing a mask and looting and destroying stores like JD Sports. The date is 31 October at 5:30. There are also calls for Alma Shopping, in Coimbra, on the same day, and for Avenida da Liberdade, in Lisbon, today at the same time. All presented as ‘solidarity’ with French protests. The PSP has confirmed that it is monitoring the situation, assessing the risks and preparing the ‘diligences considered appropriate’ to ensure public order — which, in clear language, means that the police are seeing whether this is in social media theater or whether this appeal to crimes of the good comes off the screen.

What “rebellion” is this?
This is a call for a “rebellion” in Portugal, namely shopping centres and other public spaces. In videos that are circulating on social networks are given some instructions, as the use of black clothing, balaclavas or masks and also encouraged shoplifting. The situation in France is also mentioned, which is experiencing a wave of protests that have already forced the curfew to be enforced.
One of the faldas calls already concerns this Saturday, in Lisbon, on Avenida da Liberdade, around 5:30 p.m. It should be noted that, rather, a demonstration promoted by the Lisbon camp movement is marked for the same place.
Other dates include the end of the month, when for 31 October, it is called for this rebellion to take place at the Colombo Shopping Centre in Lisbon, and simultaneously at Alma Shopping in Coimbra.
In addition to ensuring that it was monitoring the information in question, PSP also pointed out that “in the light of the evaluation carried out, appropriate steps will be developed in conjunction with the competent authorities in order to prevent the occurrence of criminal offences and ensure public security and order”.
In order not to compromise the effectiveness of the work, the PSP no longer commented “even further research efforts, processes of identification of people or measures of an operational nature”.
