Dissatisfied for relationship, assaulted ex. He was wanted in Brazil

Ua 33-year-old foreign citizen, wanted in Brazil for crimes of offenses to physical integrity, was arrested by the Judicial Police (PJ) in the Serpa area, in the district of Beja. 

In a statement sent to the newsrooms, PJ states that the facts occurred in 2023, “when the detainee now went to the former companion’s house, allegedly dissatisfied with the end of the relationship between the two months earlier”. 

“ At that time, she uttered verbal threats and insults against the victim, physically assaulting her, even knowing that she was pregnant, hitting her head and face area and pulling her hair ", continues. 

The PJ also points out that the now detainee resided in Portugal, “although he was developing his labor activity in Spain (agricultural worker), which is why he did not always come to sleep at home, making it difficult to locate and arrest him”. 

The prisoner was already present to the Évora Tribunal of Relationship which determined that he would await the extradition process in custody.
