O Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs today stated that the outcome of the elections in Israel is indifferent to the Islamic Republic that was bombarded by Israeli and American bombings.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson, said that for the country “it does not matter” the election result of Tuesday’s elections in Israel considering that the Israeli “regime” only brought violence and massacres to the Middle East.

“(The vote) is a dispute between different groups to see who commits the greatest atrocities,” he added.

The elections scheduled for Tuesday in Israel will take place at a time when the threats of Israel and the United States against Iran and within the framework of a negotiating deadlock to end the conflict that was unleashed on 28 February will intensify.

In recent days, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has constantly emphasized the “Iranian threat”, exalting the results of the war that started in February against Iran by showing himself in line with the US head of state, Donald Trump.

“There is only one way to eliminate this threat once and for all: to overthrow the Iranian regime. This was the order I gave to the Army, Mossad (information service) and security services,” Netanyahu said during the Israeli election campaign.

Baghaei considered the statements of Benjamin Netyanyahi “empty threats”, interpreting them as a “sign of despair” by the Israeli Prime Minister.

On the other hand, the spokesman for Iranian diplomacy said that Iran is following the situation and that Tehran “will not hesitate” on defence issues.

On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu specified that Iran may attempt to interfere in Israel’s legislative elections, warning the Islamic Republic of any attack.

According to Israel’s Channel 12 television station, Israeli Army chief Eyal Zamir requested a meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu about a possible operation that he said could lead “to a conflict with Iran.”.

Today, the Israeli newspaper Times of Israel reported that Netanyahu exerted pressure towards an attack on Iran before the elections but that “Donald Trump refused” and, however, signalled a joint action soon.

The Prime Minister's Office denied the news but, according to the newspaper, it did not provide further details.

However, Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, today classified as false and unfounded the news published on Sunday about the alleged friction between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, adding that Israel will not attack Iran before the elections.

According to polls cited by the France Presse Agency, the coalition of the Israeli opposition led by Gadi Eisenkot is ahead of Netanyahu's re-application.
