A 22-year-old man died after colliding with a boar in Nelas, according to Civil Protection. The accident occurred in the parish of Canas de Lordim, with the intervention of several emergency services.

U22-year-old man died today following a collision between a motorcycle and a boar, Lusa told the agency source of the Subregional Command Viseu Dão Lafões da Proteção Civil.
“The motorcycle crashed with a boar and the driver, a 22-year-old male, eventually died. Death was declared on site by the VMER team” (Emergency and Resuscitation Medical Life), said the same source.
The warning occurred at 5:58 p.m., for Póvoa de Santo António, in the parish of Canas de Lordim, municipality of Nelas, district of Viseu.
On site there were 12 operationals supported by six vehicles of the Volunteer Canes de Lordim Firefighters, the Republican National Guard (GNR) and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
