Athe awareness of people who were “buying” in the trash of their street looking for plastic bottles to recover 10 cents, Rita Ferro Rodrigues decided to take the issue to social networks.

In a publication you made on your website early on Monday, July 13, the presenter began to write: “No one wants to post garbage on the feed and even I, who think I know things, realized in the last few weeks that the garbage on my street was turned around and out of control, out of the norm (which is already terrible) of the garbage that is not collected in time and hours, of the garbage workers that are few and poorly paid, of the horror of garbage that each of our families produces without any environmental awareness – I am not talking about the separation that many of us, not all, do, but of the daily garbage that we produce – it’s too much and lethal.”

“ But then came this idea of the government – apparently good: When you buy a drink in a plastic bottle (PET) or can covered by the system, you pay another €0.10 deposit per carton. This figure appears separately on the invoice and is not a tax. After consuming the drink, you take the empty packaging to a Volta point (usually in supermarkets or hypermarkets with your own machines). The machine reads the package and returns the €0.10 you paid, usually through a ticket, credit or money, depending on the collection point,” he added.

“ And then you realize, because you see with your own eyes, you see in your street, an adult and a child searching in the garbage, in your garbage, subjects who knows what diseases, to what destination, looking for another ten cents for the monthly budget ", began to lament later.

“And no, Mr. Aquinas, were they not “foreigners” (what if they were? But this question is of interest only to some). They were people, on this street, they come to shock themselves, "bourgeois of gems" on the threshold of poverty, and from there, whatever the BI, what matters is the garbage spread, when nobody cares who spreads it, and why does it spread it? What is this desperation? What the fuck is this, man? ", made it a point to highlight.

“People searching the garbage for another 10 cents in a country that makes it a matter of cleaning, not a basic issue of inequality for those who cannot eat, how to live. I'm fucking tired. There are those who care about garbage in the streets, and then there are those who care about those who only have garbage as an opportunity ", continued.

“Which side are you on? Can you see your family out there fighting for garbage to survive? Can you do it or not?”, concluded.
