O pCP’s secretary-general, Paulo Raimundo, today accused in Porto the PSD, the CDS, the Liberal Initiative and the Enough of being the “iron test” of real estate speculation and promises to defeat “the laws of evictions and the increase in rents”.
“From here [Oporto] we tell them [to the government], it is possible, it will be possible to defeat this law, this law of evictions and the increase of incomes”, said Paulo Raimundo, at the rally in which he participated after the demonstration “Salaries, rights, peace”.
The initiative organised by the CFP under the Confederal Group of the European United Left/Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) – The Left in the European Parliament, which took place in the Gardens of the Crystal Palace, Paulo Raimundo, during his speech, promised that the CFP will fight against the rental law, proposed by the Government, under discussion in Parliament.
“ What is taking a big lesson, which is taking a huge political stick, is the new law of evictions, the new law that wants to increase rents, that law of the PSD, the CDS, the Arrival and the Liberal Initiative. That's taking a big lesson on the streets and out of them. These parties: the PSD and the CDS, the Liberal Initiative and the Aquida, the real spokesmen, the iron tests of speculation, speculators, banking and real estate funds. From here we tell them, it is possible and it will be possible to defeat this law, this law of evictions and the increase of rents”.
