A vincent Kompany's condition continues to give rise to talk in Germany, after the Belgian coach of Bayern Munich was admitted for fainting in the training of the sub-23 team. However, Kompany had been a cause for concern in Bayern for a longer time because of his routines and the overwork he had accumulated over the past few weeks.

As BILD reveals, Bayern's managers already knew that the Belgian coach was sleeping very little, did not practice physical exercise, fed unhealthyly, drank too much coffee and worked longer than eight hours.

Otherwise, Kompany had even been ill, with a viral infection, and publicly admitted that he would have to pay more attention to health.

“ As a coach, you always want to do everything. I caught a very strong virus last week and, of course, I didn't hear my body. Then, at one point, my body just said: ‘Enough!’, said Kompany, after the tie with Arsenal, last Wednesday.

But neither did Kompany slow down at the pace and on Friday he even felt bad, having to be hospitalized.

“Works 18 hours a day and barely sees children”

In April 2025, Pierre Kompany, father of Bayern Munich's coach, was already pointing to the excess of work his son accumulated.

“ As a player, he was disciplined, but now, as a coach, he is even more demanding. He has a daily routine that hardly allows him to pause. Early in the morning, he's already in the training center, and at night, he's the last to leave. He works, most days, 18 hours a day and, on normal days, barely sees his children“, he began to reveal.

“ We taught our children not to react in anger, but through their performance. Their mother, however deceased, was very important. Ever since they started talking, I've been telling them very clearly: ‘You have to work much more than others to be successful!’”, recalled Pierre Kompany.

Bayern updates clinical status

On Saturday morning, Max Eberl appeared before journalists to update the coach's clinical situation, admitting that it was a particularly sensitive moment for all parties.

“ The good news is he's stable. I talked to him last night, and his wife too. It wasn't a nice time for all of us. He passed out in the field yesterday, and he's gonna spend a few more days in the hospital until everything is watched. This shows, once again, how health is the most important thing in life, not football ", began by affirming.

“We all send you the best wishes. We, while Bayern Munich, remain united. The most important thing is that the cause be established and that it be well again. He will only come back when he is well (...). They've been investigating the cause all along. He had already had slight problems last week”, continued the leader of the German champions in title.

“ The doctors aren't doing anything but trying to figure out what's going on. The tests have already presented some results, but more results will be needed to determine exactly what is going on and how long it will take him to recover. I am not a doctor, but we can support him with energy and love ", completed, before journalists.

Who plays Kompany in Fribourg-Bayern?

The sports director also made known that Aaron Danks, Kompany's deputy, will be directing the team in the duel against Friburgo, scheduled for 4:30 this Sunday in Europe-Park Stadion.

“Vinnie will have all the time. Let's not start setting any deadlines. We need to understand what the problem is, and then it is a question of what the necessary recovery time will be,” he said.

“ We spoke briefly last night, and I made it clear that we weren't just talking about football, but to make sure he was okay. Football operations are in our hands now. Let’s try to help the team move on,” Aaron Danks said.

Bayern Munich gives news about the state of health of Vincent Kompany

Max Eberl, sports director of Bayern Munich, reports that Vincent Kompany “is stable”, after being hospitalized, due to a fainting. However, he will be assistant Aaron Danks, directing the team at the meeting of the Bundesliga's seventh day in front of Friburgo.
