Scholar of Viseu leaves the José Alvalade Stadium with a victory over Sporting, for 1-2, which keeps him alive in the fight for places of access to European competitions, while he may have simplified the accounts of the award of the national champion title.

O Sporting was not able to rise, after the defeat suffered, in the middle of the week, in the stadium José Alvalade, before the LASK Linz, for the Champions League, by 1-3, and ‘tombou’, at the beginning of Sunday night, once again, this time, in the reception to the Academic of Viseu, for the I League, by 1-2.
João Guilherme was intractable and took advantage of the total discoordination by the green and white defense to spread chaos in Lisbon, with two (decisive) goals. In the middle, the inevitable Luis Suárez once again made his own, but it was not enough to prevent a desaire that further complicates the national championship accounts.
Rope Mosquitos in Spain
In spite of everything, Sporting marked a strong entry into play, with a lot of possession of ball, exchanging it with discretion in search of spaces, before the authentic ‘wall’ erected by the Académico de Viseu. At the sixth minute, ‘Golo’ was even shouted out, but the strong shot of Nestory Irankunda began to tear the pole of the opposite goal.
However, good signs lasted only 15 minutes before giving way to complete uneasiness. The Viriatos did not give in under pressure and remained faithful to the plan, causing the ball to reach the large area without the need for large flotations, and it was enough to break the first line of pressure for the ‘tremideira’ to settle.
‘Tremideira’, which, among others, came from the goalkeeper himself, Kaique Pereira (who relegated, once again, Rui Silva to the bench of alternates), who, at 20 minutes, tried to ‘gracia’ to pretend André Clóvis, but ran badly, having, still, recovered trying to divert the shot from the countryman.
Four minutes later, the visitors were not so perdulious, and, catching the hosts totally decompensated in the defense, they saw Robinho ‘galgar meters’ in the left wing and crossing to the large area, where João Guilherme appeared to divert, first, to the goal that inaugurated the marker.
The decal was in sight, moments later, when Cihan Kahraman shot the one who would be 0-2. However, it was worth the attention of the arbitration team led by Miguel Nogueira, who found that Miguel Breu went beyond the limit, at the time of making a sideline launch, so quickly cancelled the bid.
The referee of the Lisbon Football Association would again be in evidence, once again, even before the whistle for the break, when he pointed out a great penalty for Sporting, for Ewerton's lack of Maxi Araújo. A decision that would be reversed, by indication of the VAR, since the Brazilian goalkeeper touched the ball before the ‘Atropel’.
Only Luis Suárez isn't enough
The first part ended with a shot by Maxi Araújo to the pole, which eventually served as a motto for an electrifying entry by Sporting, in the second half, which translated into a series of dangerous bids in the large area, in which the clear anxiety felt led, repeatedly, to be wasted with bad decisions.
Still, whoever has Luis Suárez always has the opportunity to dream of something else, and so it was, once again, in Sporting. At 62 minutes, the Colombian international appeared in what is his favorite zone, and diverted, at first, a crossing of Ivan Fresneda to the goal of the draw.
The green and white party would, however, end up lasting a mere 12 minutes, the time required for João Guilherme to explore another ‘cratera’ in the opposing defense and beat Kaique Pereira, with a first shot, under the complaints of the lions regarding a supposed foul on Maxi Araújo, before the crossing of Soufiane Messegam.
The scenario was complicated, but there was a man who never gave up. More specifically, Maxi Araújo, who was a constant source of danger. By the end of the whistle, he still scored two more dangerous shots, one of them to the pole, and the other to a good defense of Ewerton, who kept everything open, until the final whistle.
However, the result remained unchanged, so Sporting finishes the ninth day of the I League in third position, with 18 points, the same as Santa Clara (who will still receive Benfica), and less nine than the leader, FC Porto. The Academic of Viseu, for his part, reaches 17 points and equals the Arouca in the fifth place of the table.
Game Moment
Sporting was growing, and with Luis Suárez's goal, the feeling was that it would be a matter of time before the twist came. However, a new defensive inattention allowed John William to arrive at an ‘bis’ that finally laid down all the hopes that remained.
